What are the different types of Courses under MSC that are offered in UK and general entry requirements?


Finance: Most top ranked Universities will prefer - 65 % - 70% in case of a specialist Master's like Finance. GMAT is also required by some Universities for Finance. The student should have studied major components of Finance studied at the Degree level.
MBA: -An MBA in UK is available at different levels. Students with no work experience, Students with 1 year of work experience, students with 2 years of work experience, students with 3 or more years or work experience can apply for the MBA. Most AMBA (Association of MBA) accredited universities need 3 years of work experience out of which atleast 2 years should be managerial work experience. GMAT may be required in some Universities.
Other courses:-Architecture students will mostly need a portfolio; in some cases the creative art or advertising students also need a portfolio. Law students need a first class in case they wish to apply to well rank universities, a higher second class is also acceptable in some if they have some legal work experience.
Physiotherapy students will need a minimum of 2 years of experience to apply to most Universities; in addition they will also need the HPC (Health Professions Council) registration. Students who do not have any experience can also apply, they will atleast need an IAP (Indian Association of Physiotherapists) registration.
Clinical courses in Psychology and other medical courses will need relevant registrations or work experience. Dentistry courses are expensive and need relevant clinical experience.
Courses in Biomedical, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, and Nutrition etc. need relevant backgrounds.
Engineering - offered in all fields. Excellent infrastructure and facilities available. Students will need atleast a first class, students with a higher second class and below can also apply.

UK Student Visa process


UK VISA - A student going to study in UK usually falls under Tier 4, a work Visa is applied under Tier 2. Students who wish to study on a lesser duration, usually less than 6 months can apply for a Student Visitor Visa for travel to UK. Visa is applied at a center called - VFS (Visa Facilitation Services)

30 points - Awarded for CAS - Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies
10 points - Awarded for funds
