Valparaiso is an independent Lutheran University that welcomes students from all religions and faiths.Founded in 1859 and 150 years old.It has around 4000 students from other states and more than 50 other universities.It is spread over 320 acres and there are more than 60 academic and residential buildings of the university.

Valparaiso University is located in a safe, pleasant and friendly residential community in Northwest Indiana. From its convenient location, students can enjoy the cultural and intellectual life of Chicago, the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, and the natural beauty of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Valparaiso’s attractive downtown area includes a shop-lined main street and neighborhoods of handsome 100-year-old residences.
Dramas and musicals are presented at the historic Memorial Opera House, while the city’s many parks offer excellent recreational activities.There are both On and Off Campus accommodation facilities for students.The OIP recommends that international students live on campus for at least the first two years (undergraduate students) or one semester (graduate students) because it is the best way to meet American students and adjust to the U.S.
Many students opt to live in Brandt Hall because it is open during break periods; however, you may live in another hall and find a friend’s room to stay in during breaks.Caring International Studies Office staff offers a family-like atmosphere and guides the Valparaiso International Students Association.There are Small classes taught by supportive professors.There are many opportunities for Recreational Sports,Aquatics,Fitness,Club sports etc.
