Swiss Hotel Management School is Switzerland's largest English Speaking Hotel management School with an excellent reputation around the globe. A qualification from SHMS opens doors to leading positions in the hospitality industry, anywhere in the world.
The students at SHMS will be taught the "Finesse" of hotel management using the traditional Swiss approach. They will follow a very colourful curriculum, comprising a wealth of practical elements, Management expertise and languages. Each individual subject will provide knowledge and skill critical to your future career in the Hospitality Industry. Each year they will complete a paid internship for atleast 4-6 months to gain more practical experience.
There is no official ranking awarded to SHMS but the education offered by SHMS is recognised or accredited by Swiss Hotel Schools Assosciation (ASEH). The BA (Hons) and MA Degree programmes are awarded by Unversity of Derby, UK, which is ranked as being in the top 5 British Universities for Hospitality and tourism.

SHMS invites international students from more than 60 countries every year to learn a unique atmosphere of Switzerland's hospitality. When the number of students increased at the Caux Campus in 2003, SHMS innaugrated a new campus at Leysin in September 2004 with state-of-the-art facilitiesanda n extended range of excellent educational programmes.
Location & Facilities
SHMS operates two campuses- Caux and Leysin.
'Caux Palace Campus'is located in the town of Caux/Montreux above lake Geneva. Montreux has a mild climate and its location next to Lake Geneva and French Alps invites hundreds of tourists every year. Students are accomodated in a magnificient building originally buit as a five star hotel. A range of room categories are available for the students with necessary facilities. Meals are provided three times during weekdays and twice at weekends or students may use the studnet kitchen to prepare meal particularly at weekends. Wireless internet connection is provided in the entire building.
The computer room and Internet Cafe provide approx 60 computers with internet without any additional fees.
'Leysin Campus'is located in the French speaking part of Switzerland and not very far from Montreux and Lake Geneva. Leysin has developed as one of Switzerland's renowned sports and ski resorts, offering excellent facilities in all four seasons. SHSM is housed in two outstanding properties in Leysin- Mont Blanc palace Hotel and Belvedere Hotel. They were the most impressive hotels in Leysin which were later purchased and renovated by SHMS in 2004. The facilities provided for accomodation, meal and internet are same as they are offered at Caux Palace Campus along with some additional sports facilities.
