Overview
Kolej Universiti Linton (KUL) is a dynamic and fast growing higher learning institution in Malaysia. Formerly known as Kolej Linton, KUL commenced its operations in Ipoh, Malaysia 28 years ago.With the acquisition of Kolej Linton by the Legenda Education Group (LEG) in 2005, its operations have been moved to the Mantin Campus in Negeri Sembilan. The move to Mantin was completed by end of September 2005.
In 2010 KUL has been upgraded from a college to University College status. The College aspiration to be one of the centres of educational in Malaysia comes true when KUL was invited by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to upgrade the status from college to University College in 22 March 2010. The establishment ceremonial occasion of Linton University College was held at its campus in Bandar Universiti Teknologi Legenda, Mantin, Negeri Sembilan and was officiated by Y.B. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Minister of Higher Education Malaysia.
From a humble beginning, KUL has now emerged as one of the largest private higher learning institutions in Malaysia and it is fast moving forward in achieving its aspiration to become one of the most respected centres of academic excellence not only in Malaysia but also in the region.
Since its inception, over 22,000 students have graduated from KUL. Currently, KUL has more than 4,700 students. Of this total, about 60% of them are international students from 62 countries, including People’s Republic of China, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, and the ASEAN region.
Location & Facilities
Kolej Universiti Linton (KUL) is ideally located in a university township called “Bandar Universiti Teknologi Legenda†near Mantin town in the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. This university township is located about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is located in Sepang, which is about 30 minutes’ drive from the Mantin Campus.
The Mantin Campus stretches over an area of more than 200 acres (81 hectares). It provides a comfortable and conducive learning environment for the students. With its location in the middle of the Mantin valley, surrounded by hills and lush greenery, the site is perfect for a campus. With complete residential facilities, the integrated campus within the university township offers excellent facilities and amenities that, in many aspects, are unrivalled.
With a total of 74 laboratories dedicated to the study of science, engineering, built environment and information technology, Legenda Education Group has the largest number of laboratories among private tertiary institutions in Malaysia.
