One wishing to study in UK should apply for this scholarship before 15 January of every year. An initiative by St. John's College, the University of Cambridge, this scholarship is awarded to students who are brilliant in academics and who are seeking admission in Doctoral degrees in the following fields- Science and Technology, Economics, and Social Sciences. Students' applying for Aerospace Engineering and Energy Studies are given major preference. Dr. Manmohan Singh Scholarships is one of the noteworthy scholarships in UK.

Indian Students Applying for this Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

• The student should be below 35 years of age.
• He/she should hold a postgraduate degree from an affiliated Indian institution.
• The student should have secured a first-class award in their graduation and postgraduate degrees in the study field they are applying for.
• Should possess work experience and personal statements displaying leadership qualities.
• Should be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.

Rhodes Scholarship:

This scholarship amounts to 59,490 Pounds i.e. INR 55,73,023 and includes a yearly stipend that covers the student's living expenses, college fees and economy class air tickets. One should apply for the Rhodes Scholarship before the end of July each year. Rhodes Scholarship is one amongst the oldest scholarships available for Indian students to study in UK. Conferred first in 1902, this scholarship program awards five scholarships to study at Oxford University. In UK, this scholarship is offered to those students who wish to pursue postgraduate degree level courses at Oxford University for a duration of one/two years.

Indian Students Applying for this Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

• The student should have a formal education obtained at an Indian institution for at least 4 to 10 years.
• The student should be between the age group of 19-25 years.
• The student should obtain an undergraduate degree in first-class or with an equivalent level.
