Grenoble School of Management

Located in Grenoble, the school caters to 8000 students and 500 employees. The school provides 50 educational programs in French as well as English from undergraduate to graduate, doctoral and continuing education. Education System in France

An immensely centralized system, education in France is categorized into three stages:

• Primary education: Beginning at the age of three in kindergarten, schooling in France is mandatory until the age of 16.
• Secondary education: Provided in two stages, Based Essais de La Petite Ceinture (BEPC) and Baccalaureate. BEPC is similar to the 10th std in India.
• Higher education: Also known as Lycees, it is equivalent to 12th std in India. Completion of the same provides students with a diploma known as the Baccalaureate.
• Universities and Grande Ecoles: There exists approximately 90 Public Universities throughout the country that provide students with a range of disciplines. Created in the 19th century, Grande Ecoles are French institutions parallel to the university system. Extremely selective, these offer superior quality education in varied subject areas. Over 300 Grande Ecoles they can either be public or private institutions or part of both. Although, the fee structure may be higher, students gain from constrained class size, better interaction and networking opportunities.


Entry Requirements

To study in France, it is not mandatory for the student to possess an IELTS score. If you’re looking to pursue a Master’s program then having good scores in your Bachelor’s Degree becomes imperative. For an MBA, along with good scores in the Bachelor’s program, GMAT scores and 2-3 years of work experience is also required.

Work Opportunities

• Work during studies: Part time work of upto 20 hours, off-campus can be undertaken by international students. The country has a minimum salary of €9.61 gross per hour.
• Work after studies: After earning a Master’s or equivalent degree one can apply for a one-time Temporary Residency Authorization for twelve months. This enables students to work any job upto 60% of the official work week. After attaining a job related to their area of study, at a rate of compensation of at least 1.5 times the national minimum wage one can enter full-time employment by requesting a change of status. Even if you’re not an EU student, you can be recruited by a company. Having a French Degree, allows you to attain a circulation visa to France and Europe for five years that can be extended through life.


Visa

The student visa process in France is extremely simple, with the need to only submit visa documents through an online application. After giving an interview and submission of documents, students are granted a visa.
