The University of Hertfordshire is an ambitious and entrepreneurial University. It offers excellence in teaching, learning and research and puts students at the heart of its activities. It is a model of a 21st Century University, international, business-facing and business-like in approach - making it distinctive in an ever changing higher education environment.
With a student community of over 24,000, including more than 2,000 international students from over 85 different countries, the University has a global network of over 100,000 alumni.
We make sure that our courses provide students with the knowledge, practical skills and experience that employers look for, giving them the best chance of career success. Many of our undergraduate degree courses enable students to spend up to a year on work placement in the UK, another European country or North America. Students get first-hand insight into the work challenges ahead, while growing in independence and confidence. Their studies will also develop many other work-related skills, such as communication, computer literacy, numeracy, organisation and teamwork, which they'll find invaluable in today's competitive job market.
First-class learning facilities support world-class teaching. In fact The University of Hertfordshire has invested more money than any other university in the UK in student facilities over the past ten years.
