Founded in 1925, Centralia College is the oldest continuously operating community college in the state of Washington. the college has a rich heritage of professional, technical, transfer, and basic skills programs serving the community. The college has an enrollment of approximately 10,444 head count.There are approximately 212 full-time employees.

Location & Facilities

The college is located in the center of the town of Centralia, Washington on a tree-lined, 29-acre campus.


Centralia and the surrounding community have a population of approximately 25,000 people. The college is centrally located in the Pacific Northwest. Centralia is 40 kilometers from the Washington state capitol city of Olympia. The larger cities of Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon are within 140 kilometers of Centralia


The college is on the I-5 corridor in a beautifully green area of forests and farmland. Wide fertile valleys are bordered by picturesque Mt. Rainer and the Cascade Range on the east, and the Willapa Hills on the west. Puget Sound and Hood Canal to the north and the Columbia River and the famous Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Saint Helens to the south are within a short commute from the college.

Students receiving Centralia College Scholarships must comply with the following policies:

    • Scholarships are awarded for the entire academic year and will be credited to your student account, one third each for the fall, winter, and spring quarters. Scholarships cannot be used for summer quarter enrollment.

    • Almost all scholarships require that you are enrolled for at least 12 credits (full time) each quarter and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average.

    • Scholarships can only be applied towards the cost of tuition unless otherwise indicated. Should you at any time exceed the cost of tuition by receiving other scholarships, financial aid, 529 pre-paid tuition plans (excluding loans and employment earnings) which is required to be applied to tuition, your scholarship or other financial aid may be reduced or withdrawn accordingly.

    • Students who receive scholarships are required to write a thank you letter to the donor and attend the fall Scholarship Award Night.
