Location & Facilities

Stirling, received city status in 2002, is at the geographic heart of Scotland – dramatically positioned at the point where Lowland and Highland Scotland meet. Stirling has excellent direct rail and road links to the rest of Scotland and the UK, while London and the other great capitals of Europe are a short hop by air from either Edinburgh or Glasgow airports, both of which are within easy reach of the University. In particular, both Edinburgh and Glasgow are only 45 minutes away by road or rail. Frequent coach transfers are available from each of the two airports to their respective city centres. The population’s around 40,000 – 20 percent of whom are students. This makes Stirling big enough to offer a full ‘city experience’: shopping, café culture, performing arts and nightlife.

There are 2 campuses .

  • Highland Campus (Inverness)
  • Western Isles Campus (Stornoway)
