    City University of Seattle is private, not-for-profit universities with over 40,000 graduates worldwide. The University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Scholarships & Financial Aid for Indian Students

New International Student Scholarship

City University of Seattle is making available 20 tuition scholarships each year in the amount of $3,000 to new applicants from outside of the US.

Eligibility: New international applicants applying for an academic degree program from outside of the United States who have never applied to or attended City University of Seattle. Conditionally admitted degree seeking students with pending English proficiency qualify; however, the award can only be applied towards academic classes (and not ESL studies).


Award: $ 3,000 tuition scholarships ($1,000 applied towards the tuition of the first three quarters of enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program).


Selection criteria: Scholarships in this category are awarded to applicants that are able to demonstrate how earning a CityU degree will impact their future career/life plans, their involvement in the wider community and applicant demonstrates satisfactory academic performance.

Copy of transcript showing a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.

Essay (maximum of 1,000 words): Describing how studies at City University of Seattle will the students achieve his/her future goals.

Community Involvement Statement (maximum of 500 words): Describing the student’s participation in non-academic activities, specifically those impacting the larger community (i.e. volunteer, student leadership roles, and extracurricular activities).

It is recommended that students who are interested in this scholarship apply at the time when they send their application to the university. In any case, the scholarship applications must be post marked by the deadlines no later than:

  • Fall Quarter Attendance (October): September 15
  • Winter Quarter Attendance (January): December 15
  • Spring Quarter Attendance (April): March 15
  • Summer Quarter Attendance (July): June 15
