NMIT has got two main campuses i.e. Nelson & Marlborough.
NMIT's Nelson campus is situated just a few minutes' walk from Nelson's vibrant city centre and within easy driving distance of the many attractions of the Nelson region.
The larger of the two campuses, it is a friendly, lively and leafy environment NMIT’s Marlborough campus is situated in the region’s commercial hub of Blenheim. Specialising in viticulture and aviation, NMIT Marlborough offers almost 20 full time programmes as well as part time and short course options. The attractive campus boasts an on-site vineyard, a library, the training hair salon “Hair Savvy", the beauty salon "Enhance" and a student café
The Marlborough campus is also within easy reach by car of many of the sights for which the region is famous.
The smaller of the two campuses, it is a social but relaxed environment.

There are institutions that arrange residential accommodation for students who are not staying with relatives or friends. However, you may also arrange accommodation for yourself. You should indicate whether or not you want assistance in finding accommodation when you apply to the institution.
Students can apply for a job search visa after 3 months of completing the program. If the student receives a job offer in a related industry, the student visa can be converted to a work permit or permanent residency based on the eligibility and the skill migrant category at that time of application.
Students are allowed to work part-time for 20 hours per week. The wages range from NZ$18-NZ$22 per hour. Students can choose to work in restaurants, farms, malls and as marketing executives.
