National University of Ireland Galway (Irish OÉ Gaillimh) is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland. It is located in Ireland's westerly city of Galway. A tertiary-level educational institution, it is ranked among the top 2 per cent of universities in the world.With over 17,000 students and more than 2,400 staff, NUI Galway is the largest and oldest University in the West of Ireland. Over the past 170 years, we have built a distinguished reputation for teaching and research excellence in the fields of arts, social science, and celtic studies; business, public policy and law; engineering and informatics; medicine, nursing and health sciences; and science.

National University of Ireland Galway is located in Ireland's westerly city of Galway.Galway is a city in the West of Ireland in the province of Connacht and lies on the River Corrib between Lough Corrib and Galway Bay and is surrounded by County Galway.

They describe Galway as being steeped in history yet with a contemporary vibe.Galway is a cultural centre, attracting thousands to the many festivals throughout the year.Galway is young at heart, with students making up 20% of the population here. Galway is a great sporting city. Whatever you are into, from horse racing, Gaelic games, soccer and rugby to rowing, motorsport, greyhound racing and more.Galway is in close proximity to some amazing natural sites.

The main campus has over 90 buildings on 105 hectares of land situated on the banks of the River Corrib.

NUI Galway is in the middle of a €400 million construction programme - the largest expansion of facilities in any university in Ireland. Since 2010, the 'Campus of the Future' project has delivered iconic new research facilities such as:

Internship: Students have the opportunity to diversify their study abroad experience through an internship program, custom-designed around their goals, work experiences, and educational background. American College Dublin students have interned with renowned companies such as Four Seasons Hotels, Logica CMG, Radisson, JP Morgan, Headway Ireland, and Hilton Hotels. An ACD internship coordinator will help the internship student secure a placement based on his or her preferences and submitted application materials.
