The last two decades have seen Maynooth University grow rapidly in scale, strength and stature. Today, with over 10,000 students and extensive research activities, we are Ireland’s fastest-growing university, having doubled in size in the 15 years since 1999. The University is a wonderful place to learn. The teaching is excellent, delivered by leading international researchers who are committed and connected to their students. We have a strong campus community with a student-centred and collegial ethos. These characteristics together create a student experience that is uniquely Maynooth.

We have, therefore, fundamentally re-imagined our undergraduate learning experience. Building on our strengths, we have developed a radically different Maynooth model of undergraduate education which is distinctive and challenging—one that is flexibly designed to meet the individual needs of a diverse student body and one that stimulates and supports every student to reach their full potential.

Location & Facilities

The Maynooth University campus is laid out in its own extensive grounds in rural surroundings, and is divided between an older complex of fine nineteenth century buildings and a modern complex of teaching, research, accommodation, and support facilities.

From our new library at the heart of the campus, to the range of lecture theaters and labs, cafes, restaurants and bookshop, you'll find Maynooth is a great place to be.

MaynoothWorks is Maynooth University's new Business Incubator. It offers state of the art office space and critical advice/ support for technology start ups. Designed to impress, the incubator boasts modern individual offices, hot desk spaces, labs and meeting rooms with free internet for clients. We are interested in talking with potential clients involved in all stages of high tech start ups.
