Study in Australia without appearing for IELTS

Studying abroad is a good decision as it gives international exposure to its students. Yes, as an Indian student, it is possible to study in Australia without appearing for IELTS. However, there are some conditions for students applying to universities without IELTS.

Students will be relieved from submitting their IELTS score if they have prior work experience with evidence of sharpening English skills in a specialised setting.
An Indian student can be relieved of IELTS scores if he or she demonstrates an AISSCE certificate issued by the CBSE board. In the case of a state-bound student, the student must have scored at least 65%.
IELTS scores are not mandatory for candidates who have completed their education in an English-speaking country or institute.
IELTS scores are also not required for individuals who have finished their undergraduate or graduate degree programme from an accredited school or institution where language is the primary language of instruction.
If the student studied for at least a year following secondary school, either full-time or part-time, he may also be excused from providing documentation of his English language skills.

The University of Adelaide

The students need to complete the English pathway programme by Adelaide or possess a conditional offer letter from the institute if they have not appeared for ELTS. The candidate must have passed the latest degree programme with English as the medium of instruction.

Also, ask for a confirmation letter for admission from a previous institution to prove that you have completed a degree with English as the medium of instruction or language.

Bond University

Tests of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (PTE), and Cambridge English exams like CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Competence in English) are among the alternative English language competence exams that Bond University may accept. Bond University may omit the IELTS requirement if your prior education (such as high school or college) was completed in English or in an English-speaking nation. Evidence of your English-medium education, such as transcripts or a letter from your prior school, can be required. Bond University may evaluate applicants' English language proficiency through Skype tests or interviews. You might not need to take the IELTS exam if you can prove during the interview that you are proficient in English.

The candidate from India will have to submit an All-India Senior Certificate with minimum marks (as decided by the university). Also, the students must have at least five years of work experience in a business environment with English as a medium of communication. Additionally, Indian school certificates with minimum marks (as decided by the university), HSC and SSC, or higher or senior secondary board certificates with minimum marks, should be demonstrated.

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ)

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) offers an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme for international students who do not meet the English language proficiency requirements for direct entry into their desired academic programs. Upon successfully completing the EAP programme, students will be able to take admission. USQ accepts alternate English tests such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), PTE (Pearson Test of English), and Cambridge English tests like CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) or CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English).

La Trobe University

Through its English Language Centre, La Trobe University could provide pathway programmes or English language classes. The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), PTE (Pearson Test of English), and Cambridge English exams like CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Competency in English) are examples of alternative English language competency examinations that La Trobe University may accept. Verify the acceptance of these tests and any scoring criteria. Via its English Language Centre, La Trobe University may provide pathway programmes or English language classes. The goal of these programmes is to assist foreign students in enhancing their English language abilities to satisfy the university's English proficiency criteria.

Charles Darwin University (CDU)

For international students who have completed their prior education (high school, college, or university) in English or in an English-speaking country, CDU may waive the English language proficiency requirement. Evidence of your English-medium education, such as transcripts or a letter from your prior school, can be required. English language courses are available at CDU's English Language Centre to help foreign students become more fluent in the language. Eligibility criteria for studying in Australia without IELTS

As an alternative to IELTS, students need to submit scores on the TOEFL or PTE to apply to an Australian university for study. A certificate of medium of instruction can be submitted as well. This certificate is available for students who have studied English for more than three years.
As an international student, you must submit a Coe (confirmation of enrolment), evidence of financial funds, health insurance, and a genuine temporary applicant as part of the admissions process.
