Wheelock College (or Wheelock) was founded in 1888 by Lucy Wheelock as Miss Wheelock's Kindergarten Training School to improve the quality of early childhood education. The College offers undergraduate and graduate programs that focus on the Arts & Sciences, Education and Child Life, and Social Work and Family Studies to fulfill their mission of improving the lives of children and families.Wheelock is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Colleges of the Fenway. Wheelock is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts (AICUM) and led by President Jackie Jenkins-Scott.

Wheelock College is located in the Fenway, a vibrant area of Boston that is home to a wide variety of educational, cultural, and healthcare institutions. Our campus is just minutes from historic Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, and the beautiful Emerald Necklace, a series of contiguous parks designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
About a ten-minute walk from our main campus is our Brookline campus, featuring a stately, turn-of-the-century mansion that houses graduate classrooms, offices, and space for special events.
