Overview

The State University of New York (SUNY) is the largest public university system in the United States. Founded in 1861, SUNY Oswego is part of this system and is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The 700 acre spacious tree-lined campus is situated along the shoreline of Lake Ontario.

SUNY Oswego enrolls more than 8,000 students, some 7,000 of them full-time undergraduates. Around 4,400 students live on campus among the college's 13 residence halls and communities. Overall, Oswego's lakeside campus stretches for almost 700 acres and includes 58 buildings.

Oswego is one of 13 university colleges in the 64-campus SUNY system. As a comprehensive college, Oswego offers more than 110 majors, minors, cooperative and graduate programs.

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Location & Facilities

Romney Lot: 5.8 acres on SUNY Oswego's main campus, this flat parcel offers direct road frontage on State Route 104 West. It has direct access to both public streets and public transportation. The parcel has electric, water and sewer, and is construction-ready.
Rudolph Road: 3.3 acres in area of tennis courts, this flat parcel has direct views of Lake Ontario and is bounded on the north and east by public streets. This construction-ready parcel has electric, water and sewer, and can be linked to the college's central heating plant for high-temperature hot water if needed.
SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center: 1,382 square feet of office/technology space is located in a full-service industrial park that is a single-level facility with ample parking.
Syracuse Technology Garden: 9,500 square feet of office/technology space in downtown Syracuse.

 

Accommodations:

To reserve on-campus housing for next year, students MUST participate in Room Selection.

All current FIRST YEAR STUDENTS are REQUIRED to live on campus for next year. All other students ARE NOT REQUIRED to live on campus next year. See the College Housing Policy for more detailed information.

 

Facilities:

support diverse populations including resident, transfer, commuter, non-traditional,disabled, under-represented and military veteran students.
Students can access Ticketmaster, bus service, check cashing, the College Book Store, social and television lounges, reservable spaces for events and meetings, a hair salon, Internet kiosks, food court, dining and catering services, auditorium, convenience shops, ATMs, copy center and pool tables. Scholarships

SUNY Oswego provides over $4 million in merit-based scholarships to qualified students Admission applications received by February 15 receive priority for scholarship consideration. Over one-third of the entering class received merit-based scholarship money, with an average renewable award of $2,800.
