At Hamline, students collaborate with professors invested in their success. They are challenged in and out of the classroom to create and apply knowledge in local and global contexts, while cultivating an ethic of civic responsibility, social justice, and inclusive leadership and service.
Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Hamline is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers courses and degree programs in Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
Hamline students have the opportunity to partake in various on-campus activities. All clubs, intramural teams, and student events are run through the Office of Residential Life. Hamline’s clubs include organizations with focuses on various academic subjects, the arts, journalism, culture, advocacy/social justice, recreation, and spirituality. Hamline also has two Greek organizations: Delta Tau sorority and Theta Chi fraternity, both of which are located a block west of campus. The two largest on-campus organizations are the Hamline University Student Congress (HUSC) and Hamline Entertainment and Activities Team (HEAT).
HUSC is the governing body of the undergraduate students, with the stated purpose of providing an organized medium for expressing student concerns to the administration. It is also responsible for overseeing and funding the majority of student organizations on campus.
