Birkbeck, University of London is a world-class research and teaching institution, a vibrant centre of academic excellence, and London's only specialist provider of evening higher education. Part of the world famous University of London, Birkbeck is in the top 25% of UK institutions for research quality. The College has a diverse student community where over 100 nationalities are represented. These include a steadily increasing number from India. Birkbeck is located in the heart of central London, within walking distance of world famous museums and galleries, well-known shopping areas, and the entertainment areas of London's West End, including Chinatown and Theatreland.

 

The College is surrounded by other University of London colleges and a short walk from the British Library. Birkbeck offers its students an excellent environment in which to undertake their studies and a lively student atmosphere. Full-time students have excellent access to a wide range of academic libraries and computer facilities across the University of London campus.
