Richmond University Campus

Richmond, The American International University in London

Overview

Richmond University is an independent not-for-profit UK University educating students from around the world for over 40 years. We are a truly international university, offering students the opportunity to learn alongside fellow students from over 100 countries. Our dual US-accredited and UK-validated degrees are recognised internationally.

Richmond’s degree programmes are built on the American Liberal Arts Core Curriculum model which is followed by all undergraduates, the broad based approach helps students develop a platform from which a successful career is launched. The employability of our graduates is a central theme at Richmond. Our active internship programme will assist students in taking their first career steps.

Richmond has campuses in two of London’s most appealing communities: Richmond-upon-Thames and Kensington. The Richmond Hill Campus, which dates back to the founding of Richmond College in 1843, is the location for first-year and second-year students. Upper-division students typically relocate to the campus in Kensington, Central London, where graduate studies are also pursued.

Our strengths are:

  • Dual degrees with UK & US accreditation
  • Small classes taught by qualified and experienced faculty
  • Guaranteed on-campus accommodation
  • Guaranteed internships and study-abroad opportunities
  • Wide range of scholarships available

Location and Facilities

There is a Library on both campuses including the purpose built Cyril Taylor Library on the Richmond Hill Campus. The University libraries contain over 90,000 items including books, DVD s, music CDs, company annual reports, and student theses. In addition there are some 25,000 journal titles available through the Library’s subscription databases and free Internet sites. PC suites with free printing facilities are available to use at both campuses.

The Student Union is comprised of members of the student body. Its purpose is to serve and represent the interests of Richmond students in the areas of academic, social, and student life. The Student Union also provides social and educational activities to the entire student body. Parties, musical performances, poetry readings, competitions, charity events, and more are all organized by students for students.

On-campus facilities include a basketball and tennis court and a Fitness Suite. These are available to all students. Local athletic facilities are abundant and offer competitive membership rates for students. Intramural sports activities are popular throughout the year and are usually initiated by interested students or student clubs.
