As one of Irelandís leading third-level independent colleges in the areas of Computing and Business studies, and with a comprehensive range of part-time, full-time, corporate, and semester abroad courses within these areas, we trust you will find a programme of education and training to suit your needs.
CCT affords a personal touch to its students, with small class sizes promoting an interactive learning atmosphere, and an excellent student service. We foster a dynamic, student-centred, international learning environment, which promotes individual potential. CCT provides QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland, incorporating the former HETAC and FETAC) validated programmes in further and higher education, at levels 6 and 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). CCT also provides a number of other courses aligned to levels 5-9 on the NFQ.
All programmes provided by CCT are innovatively developed with a practical, industry relevant focus. An integral part of our education and training provision, is a personal and professional development stream, running parallel to academic studies. This embodies the ethos and spirit of CCT, to furnish students with opportunities to enhance and improve personal skills, career skills, and to complete globally recognised industry certification running parallel to academic programmes.
CCT Faculty staff share a common obsession to continually improve and facilitate the enhancement of Teaching and Learning. The considerable ongoing research effort by senior faculty members at the college, culminating in two notable annual conferences, and the provision of free education to Irish secondary school students, and teachers, marks CCTís commitment to the enhancement of teaching and learning within the ICT and Business Education areas.

Ideal City Centre Location
Housed in this state of the art, renovated and restored historical building, this premises is situated at 30-34 Westmoreland St., Dublin 2, which links the two most famous streets in Dublinís city centre: OíConnell St. and Grafton St. The college building lies on Dublinís College Green (site location where previous US presidents Clinton and Obama addressed the Irish nation), next door to Trinity College Dublin (Irelandís oldest university), and at the entrance to the famous cultural and tourist-oriented Temple Bar area in Dublin.
The CCT premises avails of all city-centre amenities, and situated on all public transport routes servicing all areas of the city and greater Dublin, including bus, train and tram routes.

The following are some additional funding and scholarship schemes currently operated by CCT:
1. Installment Payment Facility
Any applicant’s who may be experiencing difficulties in sourcing full funding for a course prior to commencement, an installment plan can be discussed with the College Admissions Personnel. This plan would always require an applicant to pay a minimum of 70% of the course fee, prior to the commencement of the course. The balance outstanding is then payable just prior to Semester 1 end.
2. Back to Education Allowance Scheme
CCT is recognised by the Department of Social Protection as meeting the criteria for students who are seeking the Back to Education Allowance.
3. Company Discount Plan
The College of Computing Technology (CCT) is partnered with all Information Technology companies in Ireland, to provide a 5% company discount to employees, for part time CCT programmes. To qualify for this discount option, you must prove that you are an employee of a company missioned to the Computing and Information Communications Technology industry of Ireland.
4. FAS and SOLAS Funding
The Irish government have established and mandated training and development agencies like FAS in the past, and the new SOLAS organisation, with up-skilling, training and developing unemployed persons in Ireland. CCT is a well established provider of programmes related to this national funding, and is recognised for provision of programmes aligned to this funding.
5. CCT Scholarships
On an annual basis, CCT releases details about the College Scholarship Scheme for Irish School Leavers, whereby, students interested in enrolling in a higher education and training programme at CCT, can avail of a full year 1 scholarship fees exemption.
Prospective applicants, must fulfil the following application criteria:
- You must apply for CCT on the CAO Application Form
- You must send in a letter of application for the CCT Scholarship Scheme for Irish School Leavers competition, along with a one page essay detailing your reasons and motivation behind your desire to embark on a career in Computing and IT
- Further details on any IT / Computing projects you may have completed so far
CCT encourages prospective applicants to be as innovative and creative as they possibly can with their essay and/or project, in the application.
The College of Computing Technology (CCT) also provides three General Student Scholarships, up to a value of EUR1,000 per scholarship awarded, to three lucky candidates, who satisfy the following criteria:
- The scholarship will be awarded to candidates who successful complete an in-house interview. This semi-structured interview will deal with all aspects of a client’s application including prior academic success, career plans and commitment to education.
