How to Enroll
- Complete the
Enrolment Form for International Students and post, fax, email or
deliver with attached documentation to the above addresses or fax
number.
- The college
will process your enrolment. If there are entry requirements it will
assess your eligibility, and you may be contacted regarding entry
requirements for your chosen course. Most courses require IELTS scores
of 5.5 or higher.
- It
will send you a letter offering you a place once your application has
been approved. If you have not yet paid your fees, they are required to
be paid immediately you receive this letter. It will advise you if it
cannot offer you a place.
- Once you have
received the letter of offer, return the Acceptance Form attached with
payment. If you accept the offer, but later decide not to attend the
course, you must withdraw in writing. Failure to do this may result in
fees being charged to you, whether or not you attend classes. If you require accommodation, make sure WelTec has
your homestay application form and your arrival details.
- When it has
received both your fees and your completed Acceptance Form, it will
issue you with a receipt. You will need to use this to apply for your
student visa at the nearest New Zealand High Commission, Embassy,
Consulate, or Trade New Zealand office with New Zealand Immigration
Service facilities to apply for a student visa.
- Insurance
It is a
requirement of the New Zealand Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care
of International Students that all international students have medical
and travel insurance for the duration of their period of study in New
Zealand. You will not be able to attend class or obtain a Student ID
until you have provided us with evidence of suitable insurance.

It will contact
your chosen provider, purchase your insurance, and provide you with
the policy documentation on your arrival at WelTec.
- After arrival in
New Zealand, you will need a student permit to stay and study. Once you
have arrived at WelTec and your documentation has been checked by the
International Centre, you will be issued with your student ID card.
This organisation
is a signatory to the New Zealand Ministry of Education Code of Practice
for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
**Procedure for Direct Deposit of Fees
Students who wish to pay by bank deposit in their home country may do so
by asking their bank to deposit the required amount of money in WelTec's
Bank of New Zealand account which is:

Please ask your bank
to include sufficient text with the deposit to enable us to identify your
deposit from the bank statement. E.g. (Your Name) d.o.b xx/xx/xx Tuition
and accommodation deposit.
Please note:
In order to avoid delays with processing, please ensure that the amount
sent is in New Zealand Dollars. If there is an underpayment or an
overpayment, there will be an administration charge of $50. Your receipt
for payment of your fees (necessary for your visa application) will only
be issued after your fees payment has been verified.
In addition please
fax to us a copy of your deposit receipt from the bank in order that it
can also match your payment to your enrolment form. Please make sure you
include sufficient personal information on this document to enable easy
matching. Alternatively if you have access to a scanner you can scan your
deposit receipt and forward to us by e-mail. N.B. Your receipt for payment
of your fees (necessary for your visa application) will only be issued
after your fees payment has been verified.
