International Centre
The staff in the International Centre will look after you in a friendly and
welcoming manner and assist you with:
- The processing of
your application
- Visa requirements
- Arrangement of
accommodation if necessary
- Pick up from the
airport when you arrive - the fee for this service is NZ$60
- Help you settle into
life at WelTec and in New Zealand with an orientation programme
- Support in your
study, home life and recreational activities, or any areas that may be
causing you concern.
Accommodation
Homestays
Homestays are arranged with New Zealand families who wish to welcome
international students into their family life. It will introduce you to a
family that is right for you. Homestay is a great way of experiencing the New
Zealand lifestyle, making friends and for practicing English conversation.
- Students will have
their own bedroom
- Two meals are
provided Monday to Friday (breakfast and dinner)
- Three meals are
provided Saturday, Sunday and holidays (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- Helpful advice to
ensure you make the most of your stay in New Zealand
- Homestay costs per
week (including meals) average - NZ$170
Private Rental
Accommodation (Flatting)
Students who wish to live independently can rent an apartment or share a house
with a group of friends. The International Business Office staff can assist
with prices and advice.
