The Division of Student Services at Troy State University is
committed to providing a wide range of opportunities for a
diverse student population.
Emphasis is placed on providing students an opportunity to serve
the university while working in both paid and volunteer
capacities in service to the university and community.
Student Services work is about possibilities. Students come to
TSU with hopes and high expectations. They face choices and
challenges which can be channeled into positive directions or
which can prove to be overwhelming. The Student Services staff
believes that educators both within and outside the classroom
can make a difference in the lives of students and help them to
meet their expectations and expand their understanding of
themselves and their world.
The Vice Chancellor of Student Services, working with the
departmental directors and staff, is responsible for
coordinating the numerous departments, offices, and services
within Student Services. Students are encouraged to take
advantage of the world of opportunities available to them at
Troy State University.
The mission is straight forward - "to serve students."
The Division of Student Affairs provides services and support
for students on a residential campus, assuring a wide range of
opportunities for a diverse student population. Through Students
Affairs, TSU seeks to prepare students for full citizenship in a
global community, at work, at play, in fellowship, and in
personal development.
The Student Affairs staff is also responsible for operating
facilities, running businesses, supporting programs, and
providing cost-effective services to meet the needs of the
campus. As good stewards of the resources at TSU, the staff
strives to respond to changing interests and provide valuable
services.
