Glasgow is host to some of the most exciting arts and

an hour's drive from some of the most beautiful sceneary in

Glasgow is home to Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, the
Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Royal Concert Hall

There are 26 public art galleries/museums.
The 'Sound City' of Scotland, Glasgow has produced many
famous bands, from Deacom Blue and Simple Minds, to the
Spernaturals and Belle & Sebastian. Venues like Barrowlands,
King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and 13th Note offer loads of choice,
as does the SECC which hosts gigs by major international
musicians.
Lively Nightlife
Glasgow's numerous theatres, cinemas, restaurants, pubs
and nightclubs ensure that there's something for everyone.
From the Tron to the Tramway and from the King's to the
Citizens, there's theatre to suit your pocket and choice to
suit your tastes.
Shopping
Glasgow is the UK's largest shopping centre outside
London - from innovative design outlets to indoor malls like
the Buchanan Galleries, Princes Square and the St. Enoch
Centre, there's plenty of choice to suit all tastes.
Excellent Transport Links
Domestic and international transprot links are first-class.
Glasgow Airport is 20 minutes' drive from the city centre
and offers: ten flights per day to Paris; one flight per day
to New York; hourly air shuttle service to London plus
numerous other links. It's just 50 minutes by train to
Edinburgh, home of the Scottish Parliament, and less than an
hour's drive to some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery
and a range of outdoor leisure facilities, including
world-class golf courses.
