The Careers Advisory Service is centrally located on the Highfield Campus. The service can help those with no clear idea about their future through to others who have a firm goal but who require advice on how to achieve it.

There is an extensive Careers library with information resources for researching occupations, employers, temporary work, placement opportunities and study or work abroad.

Banking Facilities

Subject to eligibility criteria, British undergraduate and initial teacher training students may qualify for a loan from the Student Loans Company (SLC).

This year the Student Loans Company plans to pay most students at the University taking out one of its loans by electronic cash transfer (BACS). Students must enrol and be in attendance in order for payment to be released.

Returning students are advised to ensure that they enrol online, in order for continuing attendance to be confirmed and SLC payments to be released.

New entrants should enrol online, and also attend School induction events, where attendance on campus will be recorded.
