Different Types of Accommodation :The
University has three halls of residence offering catered
accommodation. All are situated at the Collegiate Campus,
one and a half miles from the city centre.

Owned & Managed Self-Catered Residences :These
residences offer single study bedrooms (some double) with
a communal bathroom and kitchen, some include en-suite
facilities. All bedrooms are fitted with bed, wardrobe, a
desk or a worktop and a chair, some have a washbasin. You
will need to bring your own bed linen (duvet, duvet cover,
sheet, pillow and pillowcase), towels, crockery and
cutlery.These residences are owned and managed by
Sheffield Hallam University. Your contract will be with
the University.
Partnership Houses :These residences are managed by
private landlords, in partnership with Sheffield Hallam
University. The landlord must satisfy various security,
health and safety and energy efficiency requirements
before being awarded partnership status. Your contract
will be with the landlord and is an assured shorthold
tenancy (fixed term).

When to apply
Fully complete the SA1 application form (available from
the Housing and Accommodation Centre or in the guide to
accommodation 'Finding the Right Place to Live in
Sheffield') and return it to us as soon as
possible after you have received an offer to study at
Sheffield Hallam University.
If your offer is conditional (for example on you passing
relevant exams) you should still return the form to us
with your photo, as soon as possible - do not wait
until you have your results. Send the form to the
Housing and Accommodation Centre at the address at the
foot of this webpage.
Any incomplete forms (e.g. course details or status
missing) will be immediately returned for completion. This
could delay your application request, so check you have
forwarded all the necessary details.
