College is a community college which aims to develop
people and improve their l ife opportunities.
Reid Kerr is always there
to help their students reach further and achieve more.
The 16,000 students who choose to study here each year can
do so on a full-time, part-time or flexible learning
basis. No matter which method they choose their commitment
remains the same. Quality learning programmes and
dedicated enthusiastic staff ensure that the best

Teaching Facilities
The college has a wide range of high quality teaching
facilities including: a call centre; computer suites;
construction/engineering workshops; hairdressing suites;
gyms; media production facilities; model offices; training
kitchens; training restaurants etc.
Student Services Unit
The Student Services Unit provides access to a number
of services including:
Course Information - a wide range of course information is
available.
Assisting you to apply for a course - this would normally
be done by filling out the on-line application form on
this web site or completing the forms in the course
leaflet or prospectus. The Student Services Unit can
assist you to complete these forms where required.
Financial Advice - trained staff are available to give you
advice on fees and other financial matters.
Careers Advice, Guidance & Counseling - trained staff can
provide careers information and guidance
Overseas Students - the Student Services Unit can help you
settle in and enjoy your time at Reid Kerr. They keep in
close touch with local organisations and, where possible
arrange for you to participate in joint social events.

Students with a Disability or Learning Difficulty
The College welcomes applications from students with
disabilities. Reid Kerr make every effort to meet your needs and
strive to ensure that all disable students can access
every college facility.
Members of the Student Development Unit are available to
give advice about existing facilities and equipment and to
discuss any requirements you may have. Support for
students with a specific learning difficulty such as
dyslexia, is also available from the Student Development

Hours
The college is open during term time from 8:15am -
9:00pm Monday to Wednesday; 8-15am - 5:05pm Thursday &
Friday and 9:00am - 12:00 noon Saturday. During vacation
time the college is open on weekdays from 9:00am - 5:05pm,
although these hours may be extended during peak
recruitment periods.
College Library
The college library provides an excellent information,
lending and reference service for all courses offered by
the College. A large private study area and Flexible
Learning Zone are also available for student's use.

College
Nursery
The college boasts the finest nursery provision of its
kind. Highly trained staff care for student's children
aged 2 to 5 in the nursery which is situated on the
campus.
Student Association
The Students Association is run by students for
students, its aims are to maintain and improve student
welfare, finance and facilities, both within the college
and on a national level through the National Union of
Students (NUS). They also provide a programme of
entertainment for all students throughout the year.
Membership is free and automatic for all students.

Chaplains
They have an inter-denominational chaplaincy team who
visit the college regularly to offer pastoral advice and counselling.
Schools
The college offers a large variety of school classes
in all departments, principally for 5th and 6th year
pupils. Reid Kerr can also provide courses for pupils with
learning difficulties.
The Schools Liaison Officer will be delighted to attend
career evenings, parent evenings and guidance sessions to
talk about the opportunities available.
