Accommodation
Living with student from many diverse cultural backgrounds
is one of the most important experiences that a students can
have. The friendships that are formed in this unique
environment often last a lifetime.
Huron offers student two
student
Residence Halls in central London. The residences
are self-catering and come equipped with kitchen and laundry
facilities, television and computers with Internet
connections. A Resident Assistant lives on the premises to
support, guide and help the students create a feeling of
community within the residence.
Luggage:
- The weather in England is very unpredictable so it is a good
idea to bring layers of clothes. It is not often extremely
cold here but rain is not uncommon so a waterproof jacket is
useful. Try not to bring too much luggage as storage space is
limited and remember that the airlines usually limit you to
two pieces of checked in luggage.
Linen:
- Sheets, bedding and pillows are provided. Towels are not
provided so bring at least one with you to start off with. You
can, of course, buy towels here but they may be cheaper in
your home country.
Computers:
- Both residences have computers with web access and printers.
There are also computers available for student use on the
university campus.
Food:
- All accommodation is self-catering. Cooking facilities,
pans, plates, cutlery etc. are provided. However there are
plenty of places to eat nearby if you do not want to cook. It
has a small cafeteria on campus and you can also use the
Imperial College catering outlets that are reasonably priced.
Living
in London:
- There is plenty to see and do in London so you will not be
bored! The university and residences are located in the
'museum area' and the good news is that entrance to museums
has recently been made free.
