How to Apply
When you have read the prospectus and decided which programme of
study is of interest to you, check that you have the correct
qualifications to be accepted for that programme. Taught courses
specify the entry requirements in the relevant section of this
prospectus.
General rules are:
for entry to a research programme you need to have the
equivalent of a first degree at the level of Upper Second Class
or First Class Honours (or the equivalent)
for entry to a taught Masters programme you need a minimum of a
first degree at Lower Second Class Honours or better (or the
equivalent)
for entry to a Postgraduate Diploma course you need a first
degree
if you have relevant work experience and some academic
attainments but no degree it may be possible to be admitted to a
postgraduate course but special permission from the Senate of
the University will be required. This means that a longer than
usual time will be involved in the consideration of your
application.
If you are uncertain about whether your qualifications meet the
requirements contact the Admissions Tutor for your course by
e-mail, fax or letter.
You will find notes to help you complete the application form.
You may submit an on-line application or download an application
form so that can send a paper application form to the
Postgraduate Office.

In processing your
application, staff will need various documents from you. These
include:

Proof of your having been awarded your first degree's
-
Proof of your ability in the English language if this is not
your mother tongue

Proof of how your tuition fee and personal maintenance costs
are to be met
