Student successes

In 2000, Glamorgan students won four of the six Welsh Development Agency student technology prizes, received rave reviews for their productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and broadcast live on Radio 1 after the student radio station, Fusion 106, won the prestigious Radio 1/Lee Jeans prize for Student Radio Station of the Year.

Glamorgan was honoured to be the first modern university to host the Halifax British University Games in 2001.
