The City
Derby is basically city-life on a human scale - you can
walk across the main shopping centre in twenty minutes.
Most of the Halls are roughly halfway between the centre
and the main Kedleston Road campus, so getting about is
easy - especially as buses link all the main campuses and
Halls.
There again, escape to the wilds is always an option, as
the Peak District National Park is just 30 minutes away by
train, bus or car. It's the most visited National Park -
after Mount Fuji - in the world. Not a lot of people know
that!
In the middle of the country, Derby's geographical
location is an added bonus - London is just two hours away
by train, Birmingham and Sheffield an hour each, and
Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Stoke are even closer.
Helping you make the most of your time "Most clubs and
societies cost as little as £3 to join."
