Enrolling in Programmes and
Courses
CPIT runs a wide range of programmes, qualifications and
courses. Some of these programmes and courses are open
entry and anyone can enroll. Enrolments on these are done
on a first come, first served basis. Enrolling on-line
with a credit card is the fastest way of getting your
enrolment in.
Many of the programmes and courses are not open entry
and you need to apply to be admitted to the programme or
course. This often involves submitting information about
your high school or college academic record, but it may
involve other things as well, such as providing a
portfolio of art work for art and design programmes.
Each programme or course described on these pages
includes information about the entry criteria if there
are any, and an application form.
Almost all the courses and programmes have a tuition
fee. The fee for students who are New Zealand citizens
or residents is different to the fee charged to
international students, as the New Zealand Government subsidises the fee for New Zealand students.
Full Time & Part-Time
Many of the programmes and qualifications can only be
studied on a full-time basis. This means about 40 hours
a week of study or more.
Students who wish to study for less than 32 hours a week
are seen as part time students. Many of the courses can
be taken by part time students. |

If you wish to study less than
32 hours a week, then tick the "part time" check box in
the course search screens.
Please note: All Institute courses require you to
provide evidence of achievement of a certain level of
written and spoken English (except English for Speakers
of Other Languages and English as a Foreign Language
courses.)
