Canterbuty Christ Church University College is faculty delivers its programmes and courses in 7
locations.
Some of the programmes are tailored to the needs of
individual teachers and are thus delivered in schools or
local professional development settings in order to meet
colleagues in locations more convenient to their working
lives. Whether it is INSET, accredited courses, research
opportunities or consultancy on specific issues or needs
the Faculty has something to offer anyone engaged in
educational work.
The
college believes that it offers a very special experience
to each and every one of the students. Whilst the College
is large, many of the students comment favourably on the
fact that it feels like a small, friendly and caring
place, not only because of the supportive atmosphere, but
also because the compact main campus is within a short
walk of Canterbury's historic and attractive city centre.
The
campus contains high quality teaching and residential
accommodation and it makes provision for a whole range of
supportive services. Above all, however, it has staff who
are dedicated to ensuring the best possible experience for
all the students.
Diversity
is one of the features of the College; it has a diverse
subject mix and a diverse population. The students are a
broad mixture of school leavers and mature students of all
ages. Many of the courses are also offered on a part-time
basis to people who live locally.
It is a
distinctive College. Founded by the Church of England, it
continues to welcome students of all faiths and none, and
are proud of the outstandingly good teaching quality
assessments that the courses have regularly achieved.
