There are two steps to getting onto a training programme. First, you need to secure funding. This is done through your LEA. All LEAs are expected to publish details of their process for selecting the support staff who will be funded for training. They will make information about their selection and application process (where applicable) widely available. If you are thinking of applying for funding, you are advised to talk with your head teacher at an early stage.

If you are allocated funding, you should choose which of the approved training providers best suits your needs. You should book a training place using the TTA's electronic registration form which will be available from 31 March 2004. Training providers will confirm receipt of the form and inform you when a place is available. Training will be available from many of the approved training providers from late April 2004, and from all providers in September 2004.
