The University has approximately
2,500 residential places on or near its campuses at Coleraine, Jordanstown, and
Magee. All are self-catering, and offer a range of options and facilities where
student can study, relax, and meet other students from a range of backgrounds.
Although general guarantees of accommodation cannot be given, special
arrangements are in place to ensure that students whose homes are furthest from
the University are given priority in the allocation process.
International Students enrolled on full-time undergraduate or postgraduate
degree programmes
University guarantee an offer of accommodation to all international students for
the duration of their full time study at the University. However, this guarantee
only applies to students who are categorised as "overseas" for fee purposes,
have firmly accepted an offer of a place at the University for a minimum of one
academic year, and whose completed Accommodation application form and Booking
Fee of £100 (sterling) are received by 1 August in the year of admission.
Study Abroad/Exchange Students from outside the European
Union
Students from outside the European Union who apply to the University
under Exchange or Study Abroad programmes to study for one semester only, will
be guaranteed an offer of accommodation for Semester 1 provided their completed
Accommodation application form and Booking Fee of £75 (sterling) are received by
1 August in the year of Admission. An offer of accommodation for Semester 2 will
be guaranteed provided a completed Accommodation application form is received by
30th November in the year of admission. In both cases, an additional price
premium of 10% of the residential fees will be payable.
Other students from within the European Union
Students on Exchange or other programmes (for example Socrates-ERASMUS),
may be offered accommodation, provided there are vacancies remaining. In any
