For International Students NZSTT can make arrangements for Homestays.

Homestays are an excellent way for a Student to live in a safe and friendly environment, a home away from home.
Homestay Cost - weekly up to NZ$200 (includes two meals weekdays, three meals weekends): Administration fee (paid once only) NZ$400

All fees must be paid in advance. Students do not pay families directly; fees are payable to NZSTT and families are paid 4 weeks in advance. Additionally Students who wish to leave their Homestay must give 4 weeks notice. There is a rigorous check of all Homestay Hosts before they are accepted as suitable for International Students.

Families who provide Homestays come in many forms. These include families with one partner working, one partner at home with the children, single parent homes with young children. Both partners working full time and / or a parent working part-time and being back at home in time for the children arriving back from school. Couples without children, retired couples. Many families have indoor pets. These can include a dog or dogs, cats etc.

A Homestay is not a Hotel, it is expected that the Student will contribute to assisting in the cleaning of the house, dishes, assist in the cooking if they wish, just as they would assist their parents back at home.

Flatting
NZSTT do not make arrangements for flatting, however some Students after living with a Homestay family might choose to with their new found friends, move into a flat.

Boarding Establishments
NZSTT do not make arrangements for Hostels, however we will be pleased to pass on information pertaining to Hostels

Campus
NZSTT do not make arrangements for Campus accommodation and at this stage there is one Campus in Auckland that is shared by both University and tertiary Students
