Structure
There are two streams in the Certificate in University Foundation Studies - Business and Information Technology. Each stream comprises 8 modules which are divided into 3 core and 5 elective units. Students normally take 4 modules each semester.

Progression :Students who successfully complete and pass the Certificate transfer to the LIBT Diploma programs.

Diploma Of Business & Management
Description
The Diploma of Business and Management is equivalent to the first year BSc undergraduate degree program offered by Brunel University and comprises the same 6 first year modules.
Duration  :2 semesters (8 months)
Structure
Students are required to complete and pass the following 6 modules listed below to be awarded the Diploma and progress to University.
Introduction to Accounting
Introduction to Management Enquiry
Managing Information with Technology
Organisation Behaviour & Analysis
International Business Environment
Marketing and the Legal Environment

Progression
Students who successfully complete the Diploma are eligible to transfer to a Year 2 full fee paying place at Brunel University provided they meet the university academic transfer criteria listed below.

University Academic Transfer Criteria

• Students must complete and pass the Diploma

• 5 out of the 6 modules must be completed at first attempt

• No double fail can be recorded for any module

Diploma Of Information Systems & Computing
Description
The Diploma Information Systems and Computing is equivalent to the first year B.Sc undergraduate degree program offered by Brunel University and comprises the same 5 first year modules.
Duration  :2 semesters (8 months)

Students are required to complete and pass the following 5 modules listed below to be awarded the Diploma and progress to University.
   Construction of Programs
   Foundations of Computing
   Learning and Communication Skills

   Models of Computation and Systems

Pre Masters Certificate
Description
The LIBT pre-masters program is a one-semester full time course that prepares students for entry into the full Masters program at Brunel University. The pre-masters programs are targeted at students who already have a recognised undergraduate degree but who are marginally below Brunel University's English and/or academic requirements for direct entry to the Master's program. On successful completion of a pre masters program and subject to meeting the University academic progression criteria, students are eligible to enter the Masters programs at Brunel University.
