ACCOMMODATION :
Finding
accommodation that is affordable, close to campus and suit to your lifestyle is
essential to your study at AUSBATAR. For this reason, we can provide you all the
information, advice and assistance, as you need.
If you are new to
Melbourne and don't have friends or family to stay with, you may need a
temporary accommodation.
Basically, there are three types of accommodation:
-
Home stay
-
Accommodation
sharing
-
Hostels
Furthermore, home
stay provider (host family) may provide you 'full board' (all meals included) or
'rent only'. In a home stay, you don't need to pay for extra bills (i.e. gas,
water, electricity) or to do house cleaning. However, you may be getting charged
for booking fee (if you apply from brokers), which usually includes free pick up
service from the airport to your accommodation. The minimum stay may differ but
usually 2 weeks. Should you need to change accommodation, you must notify the
host in advance. In addition, you should be able to adapt yourself since often
your host family has different lifestyle from yours (i.e. about having pets,
smoking, drinking alcohol, and food preference). If you have any problems, you
should talk to your host family first and if the problems still persist you can
tell the problems to your broker.
