Some full-time programmes may have a minimum entry
requirement or a selection process requiring an
interview. The selection process is designed to make
sure those selected have the best chance of succeeding.
Interviews provide an opportunity for you to ask about
the programme and decide if you want to study as well as
an opportunity for WITT to ensure that this is the right
qualification for you. Western Institute of Technology
at Taranaki provides timely advice on Assessment of
Prior Learning.
Waiting lists
Limited places are available on most programmes. Once
this limit has been reached applicants may go on a
waiting list. Students are advised of being on a
waiting list and will be contacted if a place becomes
available.
Applications for part-time programmes
Applicants for part-time programmes need to check
if a pre-selection process is in place. Please check
the programme brochures. For all students it is wise
to enrol as soon as you decide what programme of study
you wish to take because some programmes fill very
quickly.
Assessment of Prior Learning
(APL) - formally acknowledges the value of a
studentıs prior learning, whether formal or informal,
by assessing that prior learning for the purpose of
considering the granting of credit towards a unit of
learning, course or programme in which a student
wishes to enrol. |
