The University's motto is "Doctrina
Perpetua" (Latin for "Forever Learning"). The college expects all
of the staff and students to fully explore together the
richness, diversity and excitement of academic study and
research. The underpinning values are truth, accuracy,
honesty, civility, and courage. The aim is to prepare
you for leadership in your chosen profession and in your
community by providing an environment in which you can
grow ever stronger intellectually, emotionally,
physically and, most important of all, spiritually.
You are a highly valued member of a large student
family, rich in its diversity. Some of you are studying
on the Central Queensland campuses; some on the East
Coast campuses; and some in various locations overseas.
Some will be attending classes on the campuses, some
will be studying via a range of delivery methods at a
distance, some will be studying full-time, others
part-time. It sees the wonderful mix of student ages,
nationalities and locations as one of the strengths of
the educational programs and as an important element in
your educational opportunity with us. The university is
growing and it looks forward to your contribution to that
growth and development.
Wherever you are, whatever your program of study, it is
committed to help you achieve success. Please make
the most of your CQU experience. |
