past 10 years, LIU has completed $200 million in capital

Long Island University has the largest operating budget of
all private universities and colleges on Long Island, with an
annual budget of over $360 million. Approximately ninety percent
of undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, a
significant portion of which is funded by the University. The
University has traditionally depended upon alumni, parents and
friends to help support scholarships and other programs for
students. Last year Long Island University received a total of
$14 million dollars in contributions towards its capital and
endowment projects and current operations.
