How To

|
|
|
When should Apply?
Applications for the 2003
Academic Year close Sunday October 1 2002 for New Zealand
students.
For international
students the application should reach Accommodation
Services by 10 December 2002. While space may still be
available after this date, it will be more difficult for

How one should Select?
Because there is a great
demand for positions in residence, a selection process
occurs. Applicants are selected on their ability and
willingness to participate in residential life. Strong
consideration is given to the Confidential reference form
submitted by the student's referee. Other factors given
consideration include: academic results, faculty/gender
balance, geographic location of home town. |
|

Successful applicants will be
notified as soon as possible. You are encouraged to apply
for the campus accommodation as soon as possible, even if
you don't know whether you have been accepted in to a
course of study.Confirmation
To confirm your intentions
to reside on campus you will need to make a payment of
$NZ250 when returning your Confirmation Form, $200 of
which is a contingency fee and$50 is the non-refundable
application administration fee.
If you are offered
accommodation but are unable to come to Lincoln
University, for whatever reason, please advise
Accommodation Services in writing before 1 February 2003,
but preferably before the Christmas break, and the $200
contingency fee will be refunded in full.

Common
Confidential Reference Form for Admission to Tertiary
Accommodation
The Common
Confidential Reference part of the form is to be completed
(where applicable) and returned to Accommodation Services
by your School Principal, or their nominated
representative, if you are still at school.
If you are a
recent school leaver (within the last two years) the
statement is to be completed by an official of your
secondary school. Otherwise it is to be completed by the
head of the company for which you are currently working. |
| |
|
If you are an
international student, the Common Confidential
Reference form is replaced by the documentation required
for acceptance by the University (which Accommodation
Services have access to, so you do not need to send
another copy). |
