Q. When to Apply?

A. The academic year in France starts in September or October. Some institutions may also enroll students for spring, summer or winter semesters as well. You can ask for application from Edwise or from French Embassy in Delhi between November 15th & January 15th. The completed application forms along with all attachments must reach the university by 1st February.


Q. How much it cost to study in France?

A. Tuition fees of Universities: are very nominal & can vary between EURO 121.959 to EURO 686.02 per annum.
At Grand Ecoles: the fees ranges between EURO 3,811.23 to EURO 15,244.90 per annum.
LIVING EXPENSES :
Accommodation: EURO 121.959 to EURO381.123 per month
Food: EURO 129.582 to EURO 152.449 at university restaurants per month.
Health Care: EURO 381.123 to EURO 76.2245 per month.
Miscellan (transport & leisure): EURO 76.2245 per month

The above cost are indicative and can vary from person to person & between universities.


Q. Can I work while Studing?

A. You can work upto 20 hours a week against a permission to do so. During the vacations students may work full time International students wishing to work in France must obtain prior authorization from the French ministry of labour.
As of July 1st, 1999, the minimum wage in France was 40.72 francs per hour.
