Bradford
is not an expensive place to live and you will be happy in this historic city -
now a cosmopolitan tourist city and home to the UK National Photographic and
Film Museum.
The cost of living is not high in
Bradford and you will find excellent accommodation in a city that welcomes
thousands of students each year. Food is also good, cosmopolitan and affordable
and we have excellent supermarkets and a good transport system that will take
you outside the city into the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and villages.
It is home to the National Photographic museum and we have several new cinema
complexes. Leisure and sports facilities are excellent in the city , as well as
in some halls of residence. There is so much to do and to see here - and at the
most affordable prices in the UK.
(rates as on 20th Jun, 2005)
Halls of Residence - £73.00 per week
The College has a limited number of rooms
in our own Doris Birdsall Halls of Residence and students must be aged 18 or
more, in order to live here. The rooms are single study bedrooms with shower and
toilet. Kitchen facilities are shared with four other students and shared
telephone service is also available. All rooms are Internet enabled and if you
have your own laptop, we will help you to get online and will order a network
card at a very reasonable price.
The Doris Birdsall Halls are close to the McMillan campus, surrounded by green
fields and trees and are only a five minute walk from the main campus and 15
minutes away from the city centre and shops. There is an excellent bus service
from the city and when you first arrive, a taxi from the centre will cost you
approximately £3.
