The entrance essay, which is required for all freshman
applicants, gives the Admissions Office the
opportunity to learn more about who you really are and
your personal and academic goals. Your response to one
of five questions will help the Admissions Committee
understand your joys, challenges, and passions. If
there are other circumstances surrounding your
application or educational experience that you feel
would be helpful information for the Committee, please
include an additional personal statement. Please
attach your essay to your application and make sure to
include your name on all additional pages. Or, use the
online essay form.
Within the application, freshman applicants have the
opportunity to list primary co-curricular and
community activities they have taken part in. Specific
events and / or major accomplishments within the areas
of music, athletics, volunteer services, any club or
organization, leadership positions, honors, awards,
and prizes received may all be included.
If the space available on the application form is not
adequate, a student may submit a resume of their
extracurricular activities.
