Requirements for Acceptance
Diploma Programs Requirements:

High school diploma or
equivalency (minimum requirement)
* recommended courses studied:
art,
drama, computers, photography, business

Mature students must take the
Canadian Adult Achievement Test, (CAAT). TFC will help with
arrangements to take the test.
* To qualify as a mature student
you: have not graduated from high school, are 19 years of age or
older, and
have been out of full-time high
school studies for more than one year. You must also have demonstrated
potential for success through
academic, professional or volunteer activities.

Students whose first language is not English and who have not
completed high school in an English-language school, are required to
show a proficiency in English. If you have not taken the TOEFL or
IELTS, an English assessment will be performed at TFC. For students
requiring additional English language training, TFC offers the ESL
for Film Certificate program. This program normally lasts 3 - 6
months just prior to the commencement of the regular program. This
is not part of our diploma programs. Additional fees apply.

No previous film or television
experience is required and no audition is required.
Professional Upgrading
Certificate Program Requirements:
1) College diploma or University degree
2) Because these are upgrading programs, all students need at least 1 year
of experience working in the film or
television industries.
