Niagara College, located in the Niagara Region of Ontario, is a
wonderful place to live, work, and study. We are a combination of
rural and city, only an hour from Toronto and 45 minutes from
Buffalo, New York, U.S.A.

ABOUT NIAGARA LOGO :

pouring water as it carves a path in the rock, just as the College
is a centre of resources, carving a path into the lives of people
seeking direction.
HISTORY :
Since opening its doors in 1967 in the City of Welland and expanding
into St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara
College has grown to become a leader in education and training and
one of the most enterprising colleges in Canada.
With 6,000 full time students and more than 15,000
Continuing Education registrants annually, the College offers 70
post-secondary diploma and graduate certificate programs, two
bachelor degree programs, and skills and apprenticeship training
programs.
CAMPUSES :
Welland
Campus
The Welland Campus is located in the heart of a residential area
near shopping centres and a variety of food outlets. This campus
offers a full range of services and activities including a fitness
and sports centre, open computer labs, campus store, a new learning
resource centre and cafeteria. Each classroom is equipped with web
and intranet access.
The After Hours Student Centre features an excellent line-up of
entertainment and the 231-bed student residence creates a
home-away-from-home atmosphere for students.
The Skill Centre for Motive Power Training is a welcome addition to
this campus as is the Centre for Policing and Community Safety
Studies, a product of a partnership between the College and the
Niagara Regional Police Service.
A true "community" campus, the Welland campus is also home to the
new Welland YMCA and the Niagara Children's Safety Village.
Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus (NOTL Campus) :
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, opened in 1998, is located at
Glendale Avenue and the Queen Elizabeth Way, the major
transportation corridor between Toronto and the US. The three-storey
educational facility, boasting a state-of-the-art greenhouse centre,
The Niagara Culinary Institute and it's 100-seat dining room and the
Niagara College Teaching Winery, is located at the base of the
Niagara Escarpment, a World Biosphere Reserve.
The campus is enveloped in an ecological band of wetlands, vineyards
and community gardens, becoming a living laboratory for the
college's thriving environment and horticulture programs.
This campus offers a full range of services and activities including
a fitness and sports centre, learning resource centre, open computer
labs, campus store, student centre, and cafeteria. Each classroom is
equipped with web and intranet access. A 202-bed student residence
complements this campus.
ACCOMMODATION :
Homestay matches you with a Canadian family and you live as part of
the family during your stay. While living with the family, you will
be able to practice your English often and enjoy all the comforts of
living in a family home. Homestay includes three meals a day, your
own private furnished room and study area and access to the house.
