Fleming College is located in the heart of the Kawarthas Tourist Region, a
region offering a variety of activities an all seasons; skating and skiing in
winter; canoeing and swimming in summer; hiking and cycling in the spring and
fall. The college has four main locations: Peterborough (where Fleming's office
is located); Lindsay , home to School of Natural Resources; Haliburton , home of
Fleming's arts and summer programs and Cobourg, a small campus located on the
shore of Lake Ontario. Most academic programs are offered in Peterborough and in
Lindsay.

Students
Student Advising
Every new student at Fleming
is provided with an advisor. Your advisor is knowledgeable about College
programs and services and is here to listen to you and support you during
your first semester transition to College. Your advisor is someone who is
interested in you and your success. You can enrich your College experience
by taking time to meet your advisor on a regular basis.
Counselling
Counsellors are available to
assist students with academic, career, disability, and personal issues.
Through the process of counselling, students are guided to discover their
unique strengths and to develop greater personal ab ilities in working toward
their goals. The overall goal of Fleming's Counselling Service is to promote
effective learning and individual growth of students.
Help with Learning
Learning Support Services (LSS)
provides additional ways for all Fleming students to learn successfully.
They provide tutorial support, disability accommodations, alternative
testing and drop-in workshops. All services are free of charge.
Disability Services
Fleming College is committed
to providing equal access to services, facilities, and educational programs
to students with disabilities. The term disability includes students
who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mobility impairment,
deaf and hard of hearing impairment, blind and visual impairment, medical
and psychiatric disabilities. (Categories according to the Ontario Human
Rights Code)

PLEASE NOTE:
Considerable lead notice is needed for accommodations such as Braille, taped
texts, ASL interpreters and personal attendants (advance notice of 10
weeks or more is often necessary). In order to put accomodations in place,
you must meet with a College Counsellor.
The role of the counsellor is
to review accommodations or services which will meet your disability related
needs and to initiate the implementation of such services. On-going
counselling support is available for those who wish to have it. Students who
receive accommodations will meet with a counsellor each semester to review
their progress and needs.
Residence and Housing
On-Campus Residence
Your housing choice is an
important one. Ask lots of questions and make an informed decision based on
what's best for you. The housing information provided there can help make the
process of finding the "right" place a whole lot easier.
Residence Fees
Residence fees are based on two,
15-week consecutive semesters beginning in September 2007. Students enrolled
in programs of less than two consecutive semesters, or that start on other
dates than in September, can contact the Residence Office to make
arrangements. Rates differ based on length of occupancy.

Fleming's Off-Campus Housing
Department has a multitude of resources available on-line and in-house to
assist you in finding a place to live. Accommodations include: room in a
private home, room with meals in a private home, apartments, houses and
cottages.
If you're attending a program in
Peterborough, Lindsay or Cobourg and are interested in sharing accommodation
with other students, so u can choose the roommate matching and sublet service.
Connect with other Fleming students who have already found accommodation that
