Overview
Western New England University is a private university in Springfield, Massachusetts. Academic programs are provided through its College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering, School of Law, and College of Pharmacy. The Springfield Division of Northeastern College, known as Springfield-Northeastern, was established in 1919. In 2019 Western New England University will celebrate its Centennial as an institution of higher education.

Facilities
Western New England University's 215-acre (0.9 km2) campus in Springfield consists of 24 major buildings and numerous athletic and recreational fields. It is located in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.The University has ten residence facilities on campus: Berkshire Hall, Commonwealth Hall, Evergreen Village Townhouses, Franklin Hall, Gateway Village Apartments, Hampden Hall, LaRiviere Residential Living and Learning Center, Plymouth Complex, Windham Hall, and Southwood Hall Apartments.

Students
The University enrolls approximately 3,700 students: about 2,550 full-time undergraduates, 630 in full- and part-time programs in the School of Law, and 550 in part-time undergraduate and graduate programs
Librarie
Students at Western New England University have the use of two excellent libraries on the main campus. The D'Amour Library contains more than 138,000 volumes.
Athletics
The University offers a varsity intercollegiate program for both men and women in a wide variety of sports. Currently, 19 teams are fielded in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and wrestling for men; basketball, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, and volleyball for women. Bowling and martial arts are non-NCAA participation opportunities for men and women.

Need-Based Western New England University Aid
Western New England University scholarships and grants, which are based on financial need, are awarded annually. All students are automatically considered for these when they apply for financial aid
Federal Pell Grants
Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students demonstrating financial need. Eligible students may receive up to $5,550 each year.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants are awarded to a limited number of undergraduate students with extreme financial need. These grants range from $200 to $4,000

Payment Deadlines
For newly accepted students, a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $100 is required by May 1. New students who plan to live on campus must submit an additional $300 nonrefundable housing deposit at the same time. These payments are credited to the first semester bill.
Tuition, fees, room and board charges for the first semester are due and payable by August 1.
