Overview
The Los Angeles Film School or LA Film School is a private, for-profit college geared toward the entertainment industry. It offers associate's degrees in Computer Animation, Game Production and Film.
The Los Angeles Film School began operating September 8, 1999. The school was accredited to award vocational degrees in 2008. Later that year, the school added computer animation and game production programs. In 2010, the school doubled the size of their student body to more than 1,500 students.
Location & Facilities
The Los Angeles Film School is located at 6363 Sunset Boulevard, near Vine Street, inHollywood, California. In 2000, LAFS opened its digital high-definition, Dolby Surround, THX-Certified theater.
Phillip Noyce christened the 345-seat theater with a prescreening of his film, The Bone Collector. In 2006, Full Sail purchased an additional six-story building at 6353 Sunset Boulevard. In 2007, the school purchased the Ivar Theater located at Ivar and Selma Avenue. The college now has over 200,000 square feet of facilities, including over 20 labs, and a 4,000-square-foot Hollywood Set Sound Stage.

Scholarships
Los Angeles Film School Program Scholarship - This is a Scholarship that is offered to prospective students who submit a creative piece for their intended program of study. Student must submit the complete the enrollment application,scholarship application,& program specific requirements no later than two weeks before the intended start date.The awarding of this scholarship is determined by a committee & notification is provided one month prior to the start of class.
